SMA Students in N. Jakarta Socialized About AIDS Contagion

The North Jakarta AIDS Prevention Commission (KPA) held socialization about AIDS contagion to Senior High School (SMA) students all over North Jakarta.

We’re targeting SMA and SMK in North Jakarta get the knowledge of AIDS contagion by the end of December

Secretary of North Jakarta KPA, Atma Sanjaya stated the socialization this year is targeted to be held in 50 schools. Thus far, until this September, it has been done in 20 schools spread in Tanjung Priok, Pademangan, and Penjaringan Sub-District.

"We’re targeting SMA and SMK in North Jakarta get the knowledge of AIDS contagion by the end of December," he stated, Monday (9/14).

He disclosed, the contagion is not only from free sex but from using drugs.

"Especially drugs which use needle. Therefore we also appeal students do not use drugs," he disclosed.

He added, based on President's Instruction No. 3/2011 on Development Fair, one of the points emphasizes, citizens whose age range from 15-24 years old, should know about AIDS.

"We choose students, as they are our next generation. We hope they will not be ruined, and someday will be gold generation," he closed.
