Tegal Amba Connecting Channel Began to Re-Function

East Jakarta Administration began to re-function Tegal Amba connecting channel in Duren Sawit Sub-District, Sunday (9/20). During this time, the 2 kilometers channel that crossing three urban villages is covered by mud and trash.

It being abandoned for ages and we also prunned the trees

 

As a result, the channel crossing Duren Sawit, Klender and Pondok Bambu, towards East Flood Canal (KBT) barely malfunction and caused flooding during rainy season.

Teens of PPSU Officers Cleaned Up Karang River

 

Duren Sawit Sub-District Head, Abu Bakar acknowledged hundreds of residents along the 200 joint personnel of Infrastructure and Public Facility Handling (PPSU), Satpol PP and Cleanliness Sub-Dept did some cleaning and succeed to transport mud and trash that never been cleaned for 25 years.

 

"It being abandoned for ages and we also prunned the trees," he said.

 

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana uttered that he had asked Water Management Public Works Sub-Department to immediately to re-function the channel using heavy equipment.

 

"After cleaning, I’ll ask Water Management to send the heavy equipment here," he finished.
