35 Illegal Stalls in Pondok Pinang Demolished

Tens of stalls stood atop the waterway's riverbank at Jalan Ciputat Raya, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, demolished.

"There are 35 buildings on the waterway's riverbank that have been built more than 10 years," said Kebayoran Lama Sub-District Head, Munjirin Rasyid, Monday (9/21).

According to Rasyid, they have violated the Bylaw No. 8/2007 on Public Order. "We had held socialization 2 months ago. We also sent warning letter and demolishment warrant to the owner," he uttered.

Relaying on beritajakarta.com's observation, the officer arrived at the location about 8 AM.

"Not all buildings are permanent, thus we did demolishment using a rope and then pulled to get them collapsed. And we used manual equipment to demolish the rest buildings," he explained.

For the owner or vendor, he continued, will be relocated.

Besides deploying officers, around 2 trucks also sent to transport the building debris.
