Tens of illegal building along Jalan Syafei, Gang Arnold RT 07/01, Pasar Baru Urban Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, demolished. The building owners then will be relocated to Marunda Flat, North Jakarta.

The resident have been given understanding that they've been wrong by building on the road

Pasar Baru Urban Village, Wahyu Simatupang stated, there are 35 household in the location. Those buildings used the roadside thus making the road getting narrow.

"Along with Sawah Besar Sub-District Head, we have held socialization since the beginning. The resident have been given understanding that they've been wrong by building on the road," he explained, Monday (9/21).

They then, he continued, understand with the government's decision. And then demolish their own building.

"They finally demolish their own building. But we assign PPSU to assist them, and as planned, it will be done by this afternoon," he uttered.

According to him, urban village and sub-district sides have coordinated with related institute to provide relocation place in Marunda flat, North Jakarta. "But they prefer to move to another place that located not so far," he disclosed.
