Djarot Wants Rawamangun Velodrome to Be Built Better Than Turkmenistan

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat wanted the velodrome or bicycle race venue in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, to be built better and more modern than in Turkmenistan.

I will discuss it with Mr. Governor after he returns from Rotterdam

He added, venue or the play field in Turkmenistan are incredible and each building has photograph that could be inspiration, one of them is the bicycle race venue.

Djarot who only attended the Olympic Council Of Asia (OCA) General Assembly Meeting in Ashghabat, Turkmenistan, claimed he was inspired with the venue there. He plans to discuss it with Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama.

"One of Jakarta Provincial Government's obligation in Asian Games later is developing velodrome in Rawamangun, and it will be built better than in Turkmenistan. I will discuss it with Mr. Governor after he returns from Rotterdam," he disclosed, Monday (9/21).

The development of velodrome, he continued, is targeted to complete no later than early 2018 with budget prepared amounted to Rp 450 billion. As the governor desired that it will be designed based on Olympic standard in England.

"The budget that has been allocated is Rp 450 billion, designed like in England," he closed.
