October, 10 RPTRAs in North Jakarta Built

Construction of Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) in North Jakarta is scheduled to begin in the upcoming October. According to the plan, its realization would engage private sectors and universities.

The largest one in Pluit Mas Barat, Pejagalan Urban Village, while the smallest one located on Jalan Royan, RW 02, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village

North Jakarta Vice Mayor, Wahyu Haryadi acknowledged the construction should soon be built as concerning public space is one of indicators of child-friendly city.

“Public space also used as a community centre,” he stated, Tuesday (9/29).

Pejaten RPTRA Construction Cancelled

According to its function, he explains, the RPTRA is designated for resident's empowerment center.  The construction is slated to be carried out simultaneously on October 1, 2015.

Head of North Jakarta Women Empowerment, Baharudin emphasized that 10 out of 11 RPTRAs are ready to be launched its construction. The rest is Rawa Badak Utara Park, where still being processed.

Three public spaces located in Cilincing Sub-District,  there are four spots in Penjaringan Sub-District and Pademangan Sub District with three spots.
