West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Efendi held the groundbreaking of Child-Friendly Public Open Space (RPTRA) at RT 02/01 of Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, Monday (10/5) afternoon.

"Citizens need this park, especially children as place to play and interact," he said.

Before constructing the park, he requested the company who gives the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to dredge the land. The area is prone to flooding.

"We'll also planting several m edicine plants at the park," he added.

His side targeted to finish 10 parks construction by the end of this year. Next year, Jakarta Provincial Government plans to construct another 150 RPTRAs.

"Eachn five administration areas must construct 30 parks. So I ask urban village and sub-district heads to find the location. We hope 56 urban villages in West Jakarta have the park," he disclosed.
