As many as 80 joint officers were deployed in public transports raid held in Kampung Rambutan Terminal, East Jakarta, Monday (10/19).

"Each terminal is obligated to routinely check the vehicles everyday, both the documents or the vehicles' physical. It is for giving safety and convenience for the passengers," said Head of Technical Management Unit for Jakarta Transportation Department, Anggiat Banjar Nahor, Monday (10/19).

Those vehicles violating, he told, will be sanctioned as the violation. They will be ticketed if the documents are incomplete and will be grounded if the vehicles have no documents at all.

The joint officers consist of East Jakarta Transportation Department, Technical Management Unit of Terminal, Garnisun, Traffic Unit and the terminal side. The raid was still ongoing until 12.30 PM. The number of vehicles netted is unknown.
