Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, Edison Sianturi appealed E-ID Card service will be closed on December 31, 2015. Hence, the whole RT/RW apparatus in each region is asked to spread circular letter to residents.

“We’ve sent circular letters to RT/RW to socialize E-ID Card data recording,” he said, Monday (10/19).
Sianturi uttered that the letter is important, because regular ID Card would be disabled in the upcoming January. For residents who want to re-activate E-ID Card, they obligated to re-register with the new application.
“New application is submitted through population bio form,” he told.
He added that of the 7 million of ID Card in Jakarta, 6.3 out of them were registered, while 6.1 others have received E-ID Card.
“Totally, as many as 10,520,000 people have processed E-ID Card,” he detailed.
