Teens Officers Ready to Manage Traffic During Demonstration

Teens of Jakarta Transportation Department officers will be on standby along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-HI Roundabout. The effort aims to assist security of massive rally today.

“There are 12 officers standby in HI Roundabout-Blok M and 5 others placed on HI roundabout,” siad Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Tuesday (10/20).

Yansyah stated there is no traffic diversion plan so far. Nevertheless, his department is ready to assist police managing traffic flow in the field.

" This is situational. Our officer is always ready and on standby ," he stated.

According to the plan, there will be about 1,000 demonstrators commemorating one-year reign of President, Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK). Mass concentration point is expected to be in front of the State Palace, Horse Statue Roundabout in Silang Monas and in front of DPR-MPR building.
