Buildings Along CIdeng Riverbank will Be Demolished

Illegal buildings along Cideng Riverbank canal in Tanah Sereal and Tambora Urban Village, West Jakarta, will be demolished.

The demolishment regarding Jakarta Water Management Department will install sheet piles as the programs of flood controlling that is Jakarta Emergency Dredging Initiative (JEDI).

" The demolishment along the riverbank canal is ready to be conducted ," said Tambora Sub-District Vice Head, Suryanto, Tuesday (10/20).

Suryanto ensured its process would not get hampered. Considering, all those illegal buildings are not occupied by residents but public owned buildings.

"We had conducted data collection, all those buildings are public owned buildings such as RW Post, Integrated Service Post (Posyandu), Taman Toga Ibu PKK, PKK's toga park, residents' self-help park and illegal parking area," he explained.
