About 70 semi-permanent buildings standing on Ciliwung Rivulet riverbank, RW 10, Mangga Dua Selatan Urban Village, Sawah Besat, Cental Jakarta will be demolished next week.

Sawah Besar Sub-District Head, Martua Sitorus conveyed the demolishment is an attempt of rivulet normalization.
Ciliwung Rivulet Extremely Needs Dredging
“We’ll operate heavy equipment to dredge its sediment. Thus, the buildings standing on river side must be demolished to smoothen the work,” he expressed, Thursday (10/22).
From the total number of 70 buildings, around 15 households will be relocated to Marunda Flat, while the rest of them asked to find another location.
“They have been occupying for 30 years and caused the area looks so slum,” he disclosed.
