Street Vendors Under Klender Flyover Controlled

As many as 65 street vendors' stalls under Klender Flyover, Jatinegara, Cakung, East Jakarta, controlled by 100 joint officers. These officers consist of Satpol PP and Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers.

All of the stalls and carts then put on a truck. No fight from the vendors. Moreover the personnel number deployed is 100 officers

Head of Cakung Sub-District, Alamsyah stated the controlling was conducted as they have use the roadside and park to open their stall. As a result, the area looks slum and traffic from Pulogadung towards Cipinang disrupted.

14 Stalls in Bintaro Controlled

"Actually it's routine controlling as those street vendors casually open their stall on the roadside when officers off guard," he stated, Tuesday (10/27).

"All of the stalls and carts then put on a truck. No fight from the vendors. Moreover the personnel number deployed is 100 officers," he told.

He continued, his side will deploy 10 Satpol PP personnel to prevent street vendors using the roadside under the flyover every day. "If they're still reckless, just transport the stalls," he disclosed.
