Hundreds of demonstrators are blocking Jalan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta. The police immediately to take some anticipation, like by applying traffic diversion.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's observation, there are 300 demonstrators that currently blocking Jalan Merdeka Selatan. Vehicles heading to Tanah Abang are diverted to Jalan Jendral Sudirman.

Chief of Sabhara Unit, Gambir Sector Police, Sr. Comr. Warsito conveyed the traffic diversion is situational. As concerning the main demonstration point is in front of Presidential Palace, Jalan Merdeka Utara.

“This is situational because they just wanna shout their aspiration,” he told, Wednesday (10/28).

According to him, as many as 20 joint personnel have been sent to manage traffic. “They are from Gambir sector police and City Police,” he finished.
