Illegal Huts Under Ciliwung River Bridge Dismantled

Tens of illegal huts under Ciliwung River Bridge, Matraman, East Jakarta, were dismantled by Satpol PP personnel, Wednesday (10/28).

There were 40 families. 30 families from Kenari urban village, 7 families from Kebon Manggis urban village, and the rests are illegal occupants

Hari Nugroho, Head of Matraman Sub-district, said the control involved 100 joint personnel of Satpol PP, PPSU, army, and police. The illegal huts were occupied by 80 people.

"There were 40 families. 30 families from Kenari urban village, 7 families from Kebon Manggis urban village, and the rests are illegal occupants," he said.

According to him, the control was held to respond the citizens complaint over the illegal huts. Whereas, the warning had been given to the occupants.

During the control, his side deployed one cleanliness and Satpol PP truck. The Senen Sub-district also deployed two cleanliness trucks and one Satpol PP truck.
