Seribu Islands Targeted to Have 8 RPTRAs

Seribu Islands Administration Regency is targeting to have 8 Child-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA). Later on, each of them would have different theme. At this time, the islands already have one RPTRA, namely Amiterdam RPTRA in Untung Jawa Island.

"Each urban village in Seribu Islands will have RPTRA. Where each of them will has different theme. For instance, the RPTRA in Untung Jawa Island will be on the seafront, Pramuka Island above the sea and will be shaped like a ship. Then for Panggang Island, it will be in middle of village," said Regent of Seribu Islands, Budi Utomo, after a groundbreaking of Tanjung Elang Berseri RPTRA in Pramuka Island, North Seribu Islands, Thursday (10/29).

According to him, besides from security side due to above the sea, the one thing that should be noted from RPTRA construction is park, children's playground, and etc.

 

"We want RPTRA construction in Pramuka Island is for park and playground, using a mean that train children's motoric, thus it can stimulate for intelligence," he exclaimed.

 

Because it is built above the sea, he hopes, its construction uses materials or durable means.
