16 New Dump Trucks Received by East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Dept

Around 16 out of 18 new dump trucks that targeted to be received this year have been sent to East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department. All of them are equipped with Global Positioning System GPS.

According to Pudjiastuti, Head of East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department, every truck can transport 1-2 tons of trash.

“With GPS, we can know trash transportation beyond schedule. The actor will be sanctioned,” she stressed, Monday (11/2).

She stated that truck leasing from private sector will be stopped next year. “With this additional fleet, our trash transportation can be more optimal in future. That's why we would not lease truck from private sector,” she expressed.

As recorded, her sub-department has 191 dump trucks. From that number, 14 of them were received in 2014, and the rest are above five years but they are still feasible.

“Thus far, we are still leasing 79 units, and will be stopped next year," she disclosed.
