Illegal Race in East Jakarta, 38 Motorcycles Netted

Joint officers of East Jakarta held a raid of illegal race on Jalan TMII Raya, Makasar, Sunday dawn (11/8). As many as 38 motorcycles with various types were successfully netted.

As for the owners were investigated and recorded at the scene

Head of East Jakarta Metro Resort Police, Grand Comd. Umar Faroq stated that those motorcycles were known having incompleted vehicles documents. All of them then transported using police trucks to Metro Jaya City Police.

"As for the owners were investigated and recorded at the scene," he explained.

Raid in Terminal will Be Intensified Routinely

However, they still can take their motorcycles back. With a condition they must show their original vehicle documents to officers.

"It's a follow up of citizens complaint who were afraid about the illegal action that often happens everynight. Besides harming the riders, it would also harm other road users," he diclosed.

Currently, in East Jakarta at least there are 3 illegal race prone points. Each of them are on alan TMII Raya, Pasarebo the boundary of Depok dan in front of Ciracas Sport Hall at Jalan Raya Bogor.
