23 Illegal Buildings Along Jalan Pluit Dalam Demolished

Due to standing on water channel, as many as 23 illegal buildings along Jalan Pluit Dalam, Penjaringan Urban Village, North Jakarta, were demolished.

Penjaringan Urban Village Head, Suranta stated that those buildings were used as business place such as food stall, machine shop, cigarette stall, etc.

"They have violated due to standing on public facility. Making the area slum and congested as there are many customers' vehicles parked illegally," he explained, Monday (11/9).

Demolishment of Buildings on Krukut Riverbank Hampered

Based on Beritajakarta.com observation, as many as 50 Satpol PP and PPSU officers were deployed in the demolishment using sledge hammer, saw, crowbar and other manual tools.

"There is no fight, as previously they've been socialized before. After that we're going to dredge the channel as it's been not dredged for long," he disclosed.
