Water Channel Along Jalan Batu Clogged by Cement

Water channel at Jalan Batu, RW 01, Gambir Urban Village, Gambir, Central Jakarta is clogged. It is because there is building construction at the location by one of ministries.

The channel should be demolished and dredged totally

Gambir Sub-District Head Fauzi stated that the residual of cement concrete going into the channel until it gets hard makes the water cannot flow normally.

"The channel should be demolished and dredged totally. Because when raining yesterday water from Medan Merdeka Timur could not flow to Ciliwung River thus it cause puddle," he explained, Wednesday (11/18).

Channel on Jl Lorong 101 Cleaned from Trash and Mud

Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede said that in near future his side will summon the building owner to do mutual evaluation. His side asks all related institutes to inventory whole problems in the location first.

"We're going to do mutual evaluation. We ask Jakarta Transportation Department to make traffic engineering as well," he uttered.
