East Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department reported that eight flood-prone areas in East Jakarta is starting to recede.

According to Ahmad Yazied Bustomi, Head of East Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, the flood in such flood-prone areas has receded gradually. This is because water channels around the areas had been normalized.

Jakarta Alerted Portable Pumps at Flood Prone AreasThose flood-prone areas are under Jembatan Gunung Antang at Jalan Matraman Raya, Cawang Underpass, Jatikramat River at Duren Sawit, Arion intersection at Jalan Raya Pemuda-Jalan Paus, Jalan Rawa Domba, Malaka Jaya area, Jalan KRT Radjiman and in opposite of National Narcotics Agency (BNN) building.
"Local citizens feel comfortable and safe because the floodwaters have receded," he told, Thursday (11/19).
He added, especially in Jatikramat River, although it is still being normalized, flood has receded. Similar condition is also spotted in Tegalamba area.
