City Sanitary Improvement Targetted to Complete in 2016

City Administration is targeting to complete sanitary issue in slum area in the next 2016. As for untidiness and trash issue are targeted to be finished in 2020.

Djarot: Violence Against Women Often Occured in Slum Area

The data of National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) revealed the 13.1 percent of residential sanitary in Jakarta remain in a bad state. The impact of poor sanitary caused every families loss Rp 1.25 million per year for medicine cost.

“We already have its map, now then how to execute it,” said Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat on the sideline of Urban Sanitary Workshop in Jakarta Legislative Council’s (DPRD) building, Wednesday (11/25).

Hidayat mentioned, there are currently 174 slum RW in Jakarta. Among three of them are categorized into severe slum while the rest are medium slum.

“We keep the synergy with central government,” he stated.
