Puddle in Pondok Pinang Keeps Receding

Transferred flood hit residents home at RW 05 Pondok Pinang Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama Sub District began to recede. Water level had reached 40 centimeter at 5 AM and keeps receding now until 10 cm.

4 RT’s were affected are RT 14, 15, 16 and 17.

Head of South Jakarta Disaster Handling Office, Danang Susanto stated that Pondok Pinang area has lower contour. “We are ready to evacuate residents,” he expressed, Wednesday (11/25).

No residents are evacuated this far. But still residents are appealed to be alert. “No one evacuate yet the water level also remains under one meter,” he stated.

To maximize flood handling, his side has set three refugee camps they are located in Nurul Ikhlas Mosque, Al Muhsilin small mosque and Pondok Pinang Community Unit (RW) Secretariat office.

Pondok Pinang Urban Village Head, Hendi Novriadi added puddle occurred as Pesanggrahan river overflowed due to transferred flood from Bogor.

"Puddle has receded now, but we;re still on alert," he remarked.
