Jakarta, Shenzhen Form Sister City Partnership

Jakarta and Shenzhen, China, have agreed to establish a sister city relationship, which is set to be formalized in November 2026.The agreement was announced by Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, following a meeting with Shenzhen Executive Vice Mayor, Tao Yongxin.Pramono stated that this cooperation will be highly strategic in supporting Jakarta’s transformation into a global city.
