LH Department Encourages Residents to Begin Sorting Waste

West Jakarta Administration collaborated with Environment Department to socialize residents about waste management up to RW level. Municipality Council (Dekot), Urban Village Discussion Forum (LMK), and RW heads also attended this socialization.

We encourage Dekot, PKK, LMK, RT, RW and local government to cooperate in this program

Jakarta Environment (LH) Department's Cleanliness Control Division Head, Edy Mulyanto stated, each RW would be assisted with facilitator to educate and socialize residents to manage waste properly through sorting out valuable and economical waste.

"This is the new face of waste management in Jakarta that involves local residents," he conveyed at West Jakarta Mayor Office, Thursday (2/13).

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Secretary, Eldi Andi mentioned, management waste aimed to reduce waste transported to Bantar Gebang because it is a shared responsibility between government and community.

"We encourage Dekot, PKK, LMK, RT, RW and local government to cooperate in this program in order to create a clean and comfort environment. Please deliver this message to your family and residents too," he closed.
