Waste Bank at South Jakarta Gulkarmat Office is Ready to Operate

Waste bank located at South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department Office, Lebak Bulus, is officially operated on Thursday (2/6).

Our purpose is to help managing the waste, especially in South Jakarta

South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-department Head, Helbert P. L. Gaol stated, waste bank was built as an effort to reduce waste. It can accommodate waste up to 500 kilograms.

"Our purpose is to help managing the waste, especially in South Jakarta. We must support Waste Bank in the communities to raise people's awareness about the importance of healthy, neat, and clean environment," he asserted.

In this chance, he instructed his personnel to participate in waste treatment. The waste processed products can be used as material to make handcrafting or fertilizer.

"I hope our employees can use this waste bank and start sorting waste based on the criteria while earning money," he conveyed.

For information, this waste bank has 2 waste sorting containers and 6 categorized waste bins for organic waste, metal waste, iron waste, hazardous and toxic waste, and residual waste.
