Heading 2018 Asian Games, Head of Indonesia's Olympic committee (KOI), Erick Thohir visited Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama to discuss its execution.

“I think this time to renovate sports venue in Indonesia,” he expressed.

Governor Deputy for Jakarta Tourism and Cultural, Sylviana Murni acknowledged that her side continues to coordinate for venue use. 

While City Administration is going to renovate velodrome and equestrian. “That’s what our focus now,” she uttered.

Apart from that, another City’s project is build athlete village in Kemayoran by appointing PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to run the construction. “Mr. Ahok has appointed PT Jakpro and we gonna set its legal basis,” he remarked.

In addition to physical development, Murni continued understanding of the community is needed to support the international event. “Our challenge now is how to prepare our citizens’ mentality, our hospitality to welcome this event,” he remarked.
