Basuki Issued Ingub on Flood Handling and Alert

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama (Ahok), issued Governor Instruction (Ingub) No. 263/2015 about Flood Handling and Readiness.

The officials must be ready and increase the alert to face flood

Bambang Surya Putra, Head of Informatics and Handling for Regional Calamity Handling (BPBD), said the instruction will let the Regional Working Unit (SKPD) heads and regional secretary assistant up to urban village and sub-district head to be ready anticipating flood.

"The officials must be ready and increase the alert to face flood," he said, Thursday (11/26).

He added that the SKPD heads, urban village and sub-district heads must check the facility and infrastructure, and also report the condition to BPBD.

"We ask SKPD and UKPD to work together in handling the flood. They must provide continual report about their condition," he added.

According to him, head of SKPD and UKPD must hold a communal work together with the local citizens which is coordinated by the urban village head. Public Infrastructure and Facility Handling (PPSU) personnel must also be involved.

"It is hoped they will be able to cooperate in handling the flood and minimize the impact," he stated.
