18 Puskesmas in Jakarta Serve HIV Medication

Prevention of HIV/AIDS contagion keeps being intensified by Jakarta Provincial Government. It Includes socialization about danger of the disease contagion in various HIV/AIDS-prone places.

Aside that , there are also 18 satelit health centers which also help to serve HIV medication

Assistant of City Secretary for Community Welfare Division, Fatahilah stated that the government has 90 percent program, in which 90 percent people with HIV/AIDS (ODHA) must know their status, 90 Percent of ODHA must get medical treatment and 90 percent medication towards ODHA must keep going.

Residents' Enthusiasm About Spread of HIV/AIDS Is High

"Previous year, the ODHA who knows their status was only 10 percent and now increased to be 40 percent, we're sure the 90 percent target could be reached," he said after the Commemoration of World AIDS Day at Taman Surapati, Sunday (11/29).

Head of Health Problem Controlling Division for Jakarta Health Deparment, Widyastuti told that Jakarta has 11 sud-district Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) which serve HRV giving independently, including Cengkareng, Gambir, and Tanjung Priok.

"Aside that, there are also 18 satelit health centers which also help to serve HIV medication," she explained.
