2 RWs in Cipinang Melayu Flooded

Heavy downpour since Sunday (12/6) afternoon until Monday (12/7) dawn has led flood at RW 03 and 04, Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, East Jakarta. A total number of 300 homes are inundated by 1 meter height.

Flood, 44 Citizens in Bukit Duri Evacuated

RW (community unit) head of RW 03 Cipinang Melayu, Muchtar Usman acknowledged flood started to inundate residents home at 9 PM. The peak of flood happened at 12 AM until 4 AM by one meter height. As a result 80 households forced to be evacuated to Perdanakusuma RW post and Al Khaera mosque on Jl Betawi, Halim Perdanakususma.

“Residents already got back their home this morning to clean up their house from mud,” he uttered, Monday (7/12).

Toni (40), resident of RW 04 Cipinang Melayu, uttered flood occurred due to Sunter river overflowed.

“Sunter river will certainly overflow to residential after heavy rain last night. Please tackle flood in this area,” he expressed.

Separately, Head of RW 04 Cipinang Melayu, Irwan added flood occurred his area and inundated 200 homes in RT 01-05 by one meter height.

“Current situation in RT 1,2,3,4 and 7 are still inundating by vary height around 30-50cm,” he uttered.

During so far there is no official statement from Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Adi Pramudjianto or Makassar Sub District Head, Ary Sonjaya.
