Metromini Permit Revoking is Still in Consideration by Dishubtrans

Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishubtrans) is considering to revoke public transport permit of PT. Metromini. The consideration is based on the number of metromini buses are unroadworthy and yet not equipped with complete document and still operate on road.

The
data from Dishubtrans revealed from the total number of 6,000 metromini fleets,
the rest of them are unroadworthy. About 1,600 fleets were successfully grounded
by Dishubtrans.
“We
have Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), for those that do not meet any
standard procedure will be revoked then,” asserted Andri Yansyah, Head of
Jakarta Transportation Department, Monday (12/7).
Yansyah
continued that his party seems difficult to apply rupiah per kilometer system
against metromini as the dual management in PT. Metromini exist.
“We don’t
issue any permits against them,” he asserted.
