Transferred trash seemed keep piling up in Untung Jawa Island, Seribu Selatan Islands. Every single day, tens of Infrastructure and Public Facility Handling (PPSU) were deployed to transport trash from coastal.

The island can be drown by trash

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Badri acknowledged trash piled is potential to cause disease. “KM Laut sometime sail around the area or we just throw it to residents’ dike,” he expressed, Tuesday (12/8).

Badri went on to say that Untung Jawa Island is very potential to hit by trash transferred as the location is not far from Jakarta and Tangerang land. “The island can be drown by trash,” he expressed.

Another factor is due to visitors bad habit to litter the island.

“We send PPSU in three locations, beach, destination site, protocol road and public facility,” he exclaimed.
