Shady Trees on Jl Jatinegara Barat Pruned

In an effort to anticipate fallen tree, a number of shady trees along Jalan Jatinegara Barat, Kampung Melayu Urban Village, East Jakarta are pruned.

The tree pruning involved 9 officers of East Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Sub-Department and assistance from 15 Infrastructure and Public Facility Handling (PPSU) from Kampung Melayu Urban Village.

Section Head of Lane for East Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Sub-Department, Herbet Nainggolan stated the pruning activity on Jalan Jatinegara Barat was been scheduled.

Tree pruning along Jalan Jatinegara Barat is part of our program, despite we have priority thing. Like in Rawa Bunga area, we got complain from local residents via Qlue app.  We visited there this morning and will bad to do tree pruning in Jatinegara Barat,” he expressed.

Nainggolan acknowledged his side needs more freelancer workers to optimize tree pruning. Thus far he only has two teams, considering resident complaints keep accumulating.

Suseno, one of freelancer workers told such shady trees have become the pruning target but it still still hampered with street vendors on the sidewalks.

“We cannot execute as many street vendors rampant there,” he complained.
