BMKG: Beware of Heavy Rain This Afternoon in Greater Jakarta

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued early warning of rain with high intensity with strong wind also thunderstorm that predicted to potentially hit Jabodetabek area.

Such weather is predicted to hit those areas this afternoon at 3PM

Several areas are predicted to be hit by heavy rain namely, Bumi serpong Damai (BSD), Serpong, Cipete, Kalibata, Cipondoh, Ciledug, Tangerang,Bintaro, Pondok Aren, Pondok betung, Kebayoran and Gandaria.

Such weather is predicted to hit those areas this afternoon at 3 PM," said Adi W, Officer of Operational Controlling Center (Pusdalops) for Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Saturday (12/12).

BMKG Says No Rain on Malam Takbiran in Jakarta

The condition is predicted to keep expanding to other areas such as Tangerang, Pamulang, Ciputat, Lebak Bulus, Pondok Indah, Cinere, Cilandak, Kebon Jeruk, Duri, Slipi, Palmerah, Jl Pakubowono, Kembangan, Grogol.

Meanwhile, several sluice gates in Jakarta are monitored on level alert IV status. They are Katulampa dam (30cm), Depok (125cm), Manggarai (700cm), Karet (440cm) Krukut Hulu (120cm), Pesanggrahan ( 125cm) Angke Hulu (80cm), Cipinang Hulu (95cm), Sunter Hulu (55cm) Pulogadung (370cm) and Pluit dam (195cm).

The opposite condition shown in Pasar Ikan Sluice Gate on alert 3 status by water level height 202 cm. This is triggered due to tidal waves in North Jakarta coastal.
