Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) encouraged Pekojan Urban Village, Tambora, Jakarta to set the area as tourist and culinary site. Moreover the current Pekojan monument that could become one of tourist destination.

"This place represents love, share and hope which lead us to achieve our success. Hopefully this monument could attract tourist to visit," said Siegvrieda Lauwani, Treasurer of A Commission for Jakarta Legislative Council when attended Pekojan Monument Launching, Saturday (12/12).

Lauwani stated in the near future her side will set the area as Betawi culinary site.

"We can sell original Betawi food and snacks such as Asinan Betawi, fried chips and others. I'll discuss about this later," she closed.
