Basuki: Jakarta Is the Most Widely City That Doing Open Data

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama revealed that Jakarta is the most widely city that doing open data.  He stated, the discussion on general policy of 2016 City Budget (APBD)'s Priorities and Preliminary Thresholds (KUA-PPAS) until third unit has been published.

“I have no idea about the value is. And now the world assessed, we have repeatedly been invited to foreign country where Jakarta government is the most conducted open data,” he said, at City Hall, Tuesday (12/15).

Previously, the Public Information Commission (KIP) released that public disclosure in Jakarta is not included in the top ten provinces that received the award. Whereas, he has aggressively asked officials more open.

“We don't want to open the old project. Talk about open data matters, our city is the most widely area that doing open data,” he asserted.

Basuki added that he does not concern about the achievement at all. What he wants to do is be open as much as he can which goals residents can supervise the use of budget.

“It does not matter for me, open data is what the most matter,” he asserted.

According to KIP's data, the top 10 provinces for public disclosure are Aceh (94.111), East Java (88.39), East Kalimantan (81.188), NTB (80.417), Central Java(74,861), Jawa Barat (72.994), West Kalimantan (71.623), Banten (71.172), South Sumatera (70.397), and DI Yogyakarta (61.206).
