June 30, Public Could Access Open Data Portal

Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) will launch open data portal on upcoming June 30. By this portal, the residents can access required information in data.jakarta.go.id.

As many as 400 data set can be accessed on this first stage
Data and Information Section Head of Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Public Relation Department, Harry Sanjaya said, the open data launching is in accordance with Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub), Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) NO 181/2014 on System and Data and Information Management Procedure.

To support this program, he said, all of Provincial Working Units (SKPD) must send their data regularly to Jakarta Development Planning Board (Bappeda) to be verified before included in portal.
"In accordance with Governor Regulation, Bappeda as the SKPD initiator to disseminate information to public," he told.
Sanjaya added, the open data is also an integral part of national program namely open government. As information, Jakarta Provincial Government had joined in open data national and delivered as many as 318 data set in it.
"We retract our data at national level and we add them with other data so the total could reach 400 data set that ready to be published," he explained.
Moreover, Sanjaya continued, the data which directly related to the public has become the most demanded data that accessed such as demography, education, health, public works, as well as the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
"We also will implement the commitments signatory for all SKPD to sent their data continuously because we only get data from 15 SKPD currently," he told.
The data portal will be served in electronic format so everyone could download it for free. It expected the amount of data can continue to increase and actual so the resident interest in giving suggestion or accessing the data portal could also increase.
