Tidung Island Pier Needs to Be Widened

Tidung Island's main pier, South Seribu Islands owned by Jakarta Transportation Department is considered too narrow and no longer appropriate with the capacity and activity of residents. Considering, whole unloading and loading activity goods and passengers is done on the pier.

According to Surahman, by widening the pier eventually there will be its own place both for loading unloading goods or for tourists.

"The number of tourist surge every weekend so it needs special pier for passengers," he told.

In addition, Jakarta Transportation Department plans the pier construction next year.
