Jakarta Provincial Government will tighten the monitoring against liquor bottle circulation despite the Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No.187/2014 on Liquor Bottle Circulation had been issued.

So, there must be comprehensive regulation for this matter

The regulation stipulated in the category also mentioned the permitted distribution of liquor bottle.

“Though, the issue of distribution rules of alcoholic beverages is still being debated. However, state's role as the controller is absolutely necessary," said Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Jakarta Vice Governor, Thursday (12/17).

Hidayat admitted the liquor bottle circulation is still a scourge for youth. In fact, the circulation of bootleg liquor repeatedly ends up with death. 

He continued that no guarantee whole residents to obey the rules when the total ban applied. Indeed, the situation could trigger collusion practice, corruption and bootleg liquor rampant.

“So, there must be comprehensive regulation for this matter,” he stressed.
