Around 11,321 various brands of liquor bottles and liquor mixed with harmful substances (oplosan) were destroyed at Silang Monas, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (7/7) morning.

The effort was attended by Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Vice Chief of Jakarta Police, Brigadier General Nandang Jumantara and Central Jakarta Mayor, Manggara Pardede.

The highest number of controlling was obtained from North Jakarta reached up to 4,102 liquor bottles. “Those destroyed liquors, currently had received a letter from five districts court in Jakarta. The owner representatives of liquor have been invited to the event,” said Head of City Satpol PP, Kukuh Hadi Santoso.
He asserted, the destruction was aimed as a City Administration strategy to protect citizen. Hopefully City could minimize and control liquor circulation in Capital.
“This is a form of protection against death threat as a result of rampant liquor mixed with harmful substances,” he asserted.
Further said, Santoso added his side will never stop to raid against illegal liqour or mixed liquor in Jakarta. “Satpol PP will always do preventive yet repressive action and also upholding KIS (coordination, integration, Synchronization) principle,” he disclosed.
