Strike Anticipation, Transportation Agency Prepare 150 Buses

Jakarta Provincial Government will not give any tolerance for the unworthy public transport. That is why a series of unworthy public transport raid keep running.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Dept. of Transportation will prepare 150 buses to operate at then end of weekend of December. It is done to anticipate a strike that will be held by Metromini drivers.

Andri Yansyah, Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, admitted that his side can not give tolerance for the unworthy metromini buses.

Prostesting Raid, Metromini Drivers Held Sweeping

“I’m sure that the public will support our effort. The unworthy buses are surely dangerous,” he said, Sunday (12/20).

In order to anticipate the strike, his side coordinates with PT Mayasari Bakti to prepare 100 APTB buses, while another 50 buses are taken from other companies.

“Before registered to PTSP, we’ll hold rerouting tomorrow. It is hoped the buses can operate next week,” he explained.

As reported earlier, several metromini bus drivers held a strike on Saturday (12/19). It was done as their protest for the unworthy fleet raid.
