No PPSU Recruitment from Outside Jakarta, Governor Says

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama bans Infrastructure and Public Facility Handling (PPSU) officer recruitment process by hiring candidates from outside Jakarta.

“I don’t want to hire PPSU workers
from Bekasi, Tangerang or Sumatera,” he stressed while leading executive
meeting at City Hall, Monday (12/21).
Basuki stated to smell corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) on PPSU recruitment process which was carried out in Urban Villages.
“KKN indication is detected. I don’t
want it anymore,” he asserted.
Moreover, Basuki continued to allow
mayors in 5 municipalities to add more PPSU officers. With a note PPSU which
are hired must be domiciled in Jakarta.
“For this time recruitment, no need
to have certificate or specific skills. Just hire someone who domicile in Jakarta
and willing to work hard,” he remarked.
He added in the recruitment process
must be prioritized freelancer (PHL) in Cleanliness, Park and Cemetery
Department.
