68 Public Transports in South Jakarta Grounded Due to Unroadworthy

The effort to put down unroadworthy public transports keeps being intensified by South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department. As a results, dozens of unroadworthy public transports were grounded this December.

“There were 68 buses grounded in last Monday (12/7),” said Priyanto, Head of South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Wednesday (12/23).
Priyanto stated, those public transports were grounded due to incomplete document,
unroadworthy, broken brakes.
"Mostly we controlled bus due to unroadworthy vehicle. They are very dangerous for passenger," he asserted.
Until
now, such vehicles are still grounded and not yet redeemed by its owner.
"These buses could be redeemed after the owners have a
permit from the Management Unit of Vehicle Testing (PKB) for Jakarta Transportation Department,” he closed.
