School Bus Ready to Transport Students For Touring

Despite of school holiday, students in Jakarta can still use school bus for free. In fact, it can be used to transport students to tour sites in the city.

We certainly program school bus for activities out of school hour on Saturday and Sunday, in cluding long holiday. Especially for touring, inter school visit and students olympics are also given

Head of School Transports Management Unit (Upas) for Jakarta Transportation Department, Muhammad Insaf stated students could use the bus for touring during long holiday.

It is easy, the school side just needs to contact the bus management office in Hek Kramatjati, East Jakarta and mention the students number and the tour destination. The service is free.

"We certainly program school bus for activities out of school hour on Saturday and Sunday, including long holiday. Especially for touring, inter school visit and students olympics are also given," he explained.

So far, the tour service is only for inside the city. Considering in Jakarta there are also many tour sites which have education value for students. Unless the governor approves, the bus could be directed to outside of Jakarta. But especially for inter school visit can be done in the Greater Jakarta.

"As last week, there were 400 students riding school bus for touring to City Hall and Satria Mandala Museum. They were picked up at their each school," he closed.
