Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-District, will develop waste recycling in the upcoming 2016. Besides reducing environment impact due to waste, it is also hoped could move economic wheel of citizens.

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Ardani disclosed, household waste that is mostly plastic can be recycled into souvenirs and high economic value.
"In addition to reducing waste, it can also provide additional input for the citizens. We will instruct the Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUMKMP) Sub-Department to provide training," he expressed, Tuesday (12/29).
