Head of School Transportation Management Unit (Upas), Jakarta Transportation Department, Mohamad Insaf said the six flats that will be served by school bus are Pulogebang, Rawakuning, Komarudin, Aneka Elok, Cipinang Besar Selatan (CBS) and Jatinegara Barat.
"Starting this week, we have added new route. Our target is students living in the flats. As initial stage, we focus on six flats," he expressed, Friday (1/8).
School Bus Ready to Transport Students For TouringHe furthered there are also three old routes that entered into the flat. They are Rorotan, Marunda and Besakih located at Jalan Daan Mogot. Every flat will be served by one bus.
As recorded, the number of old school bus routes is about 15 routes and 9 zonations. With six new routes, the total number of the route becomes 21 routes.
"We plan to add more in order to achieve target, which is by transporting 35,000 students per day," he added.
For now, the Upas has 140 fleets. From that, three of them are for emergency backup and five others are under rejuvenation process.
