Fire Handling Dept Shows Off Its Skill in New Years Fire Review 2016

Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department held an earthquake rescue training in Tokyo, Japan. It was as a series of international events New Years Review 2016.

"It became an extraordinary honor for us to be chosen in the implementation of the skills demonstration," said Saepulloh, Section Head of Partimas Security Sector for Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department, Monday (1/11).

According to him, the earthquake that occurred in Tokyo City caused building structures and massive fires. On that occasion, the rescue team will show the ability of rescue skill from disaster.

"We simulate rescue techniques evacuation of victims in collapsed buildings and coordinate with rescue team from the Tokyo Fire Department in disaster management," he uttered.

Saepulloh disclosed, such activity is important to equate the concept of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in every country in the future in order to be able to collaborate in disaster management. Moreover, disaster response equipment owned by Jakarta Provincial Government with Tokyo City rescue team is mostly the same.

"Disaster management in a country is a shared responsibility. Hence, we need the cooperation of each city and state to help each other," he stated.

In such activity that held on January 4-7, 2016, five members of rescue team from Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department also involved.
