Heavy rain that poured parts of Jakarta and its surrounding areas on Wednesday (1/12) noon, has left puddles as high as 30 cm in some areas. One of them is on Jalan Tentara Pelajar, Gelora Urban Village, Tanah Abang Sub-District near Palmerah Station.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's data, the puddles caused traffic congestion. To solve it, one operational car of Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department immediately sent to suck up the water.
Head of Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department, Idris Daharina Na'abah disclosed the suctioning is done to minimize severe congestion.
Puddles on Jalan Letjen S Parman Caused Traffic Jam"We sent our operational car to the field," he told, Wednesday (1/13).
He continued, such condition happened is due to trash pile in the water channel, thus water spilled out onto the street.
"Currently, the motorist can already pass the road as usual," he reported.
