In order to ease the channel cleaning, tens of manhole along Jalan F, RW 02, Rawa Badak Utara, Koja, were demolished by PPSU personnel.
Previously, the channel were fully closed
Teguh Subroto, Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village Head, said about 150 PPSU personnel were deployed during the effort. After demolishing the manhole, personnel directly clean the trash and mud inside the channel.
“Previously, the channel were fully closed. Water can not flow optimally due to trash and mud. Surrounding area was easily inundated,” he said, Monday (1/18).
PPSU Officer in Seribu Islands AddedHe added that about 50 manhole covers were taken from the channel.
