Tidung Island Dock Dredged

The Tidung Island Dock, South Seribu Islands that experiencing shallowing is currently under dredging process. Thus the passenger and department boats can return docked without queuing due to narrowing of the docking pier.

By dredging deeper, the boats can dock first before dropping off the passenger in the dock

"By dredging deeper, the boats can dock first before dropping off the passenger in the dock," expressed Surahman, Head of Tidung Island Urban Village, Wednesday (1/27).

According to him, all this time, the passenger has to jump from one boat to another boat to ride and get off the boat in Tidung Island Dock. As for the dredging process, expected to be completed within three months.

PKL in Tidung Islands to Be Managed

"It is predicted to be complete in three months thus overload passenger can be minimized," he stated.

The dock in Tidung Island is divided into two paths, especially for boats coming from the Kali Adem Dock and Rawasaban Dock, Tangerang, Banten. Both paths are now experiencing shallowing and narrowing, thus the boat queue in tourists visit season is high.
